NIST (the United States "National Institute for Standards and Technology") published a draft document "Guidelines for the Secure Deployment of IPv6" on 2011-02-22. Document reference is "SP 800-119". Link to draft version is [http://csrc.nist.gov/publications/drafts/800-119/draft-sp800-119_feb2010.pdf here] (but note that location might change if the draft gets published formally). The radvd package provides for "stateless" configuration as per RFC 2462 / RFC 4862. What about "stateful" configuration as per RFC 3315, otherwise known as DHCPv6? Seems that the "dibbler" software might a good choice for that: http://klub.com.pl/dhcpv6/

Another option would be ISC DHCP4.1. Maybe we can consolidate all the various dhcp related packages with that? I'm not shure how actively dibbler is developed. --Kapeka 18:31, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
