Checked out dhcpcd and pump. Added a few more notes. Removed the "warning" banner. BTW, the preferred syntax for Shorewall macros is now e.g. "DNS(ACCEPT)" rather than "DNS/ACCEPT" as per http://www.shorewall.net/upgrade_issues.htm#id36131281, item #3
I still get a "hangup" at first boot because BusyBox NTP can't find pool.ntp.org, because there is no DNS forwarding. Changing "resolv-file=" would fix that...
[[User:Davidmbrooke|Davidmbrooke]] 20:40, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

David; can you pls confirm dhcpd and probably pump, so we can remove the warning at the top? I checked ppp/pppoe. --Kapeka 18:33, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

kp: Sure. I will check in the next day or two. I still wonder whether we should specify "resolv-file=/etc/dhcpc/resolv.conf" as the default. Probably depends what we specify for "LRP=" in the standard disk image(s). If that includes dhcpcd.lrp then I think we should make the dhcpc setting the default, mainly because that is what I use :-) Davidmbrooke 19:11, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
