Welcome to the Main Page for the LEAF (Linux Embedded Appliance Framework) project Wiki.

At this time the main purpose of this Wiki is to host a set of documentation for the current Bering-uClibc 4.x branch of LEAF and for the experimental "next" branch, Bering-uClibc 5.x.

Version 4.3 was released on 27 Jul 2012 and further updates are currently under developement.

This Wiki is divided into five main "books".

Three of these relate to Bering-uClibc 4.x which is the current stable release of Bering-uClibc:

Three other books relate to Bering-uClibc 5.x which is the experimental branch with a reworked toolchain on which work started in October 2011:

At this time there is the User Guide for Bering-uClibc 5.x is only a placeholder and stub. The current intention is to clone the Bering-uClibc 4.x User Guide when Bering-uClibc 5.x is ready for Beta Release and then develop the two User Guides in parallel.

Documentation for other / earlier LEAF branches is currently available from http://leaf.sourceforge.net/doc/ although the intention is to migrate that content into this Wiki over time (most of this migration is now complete). The main LEAF project home page is http://leaf.sourceforge.net/

If you wish to report a problem with this documentation please raise a Ticket using the LEAF Trac system at http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/leaf/wiki (You will need a SourceForge user account.)

Documentation contributors are welcome. Please refer to the Wiki Contributor Guidelines.
